Peer Pressure on the Body by Social Media PSA Campaign

CART Multimedia Project 01 - Peer Pressure on the Body by Social Media PSA Campaign.
When it comes down to the media and their portrayal on the body, it can go south very quickly. Social media can portray both male and females in a heavily influenced light. Whether it be for personality or looks, there is already an invisible set bar for what you need to reach in order to be the definition of "perfect".
"For my video, I noticed that Justin was using a female actress for his lead role, so I wanted to go with a male to reflect that not only females are restricted by society's chains. From what I took about Justin's video, he focused on more of the personality type of hold-backs. I had limited amount of choices of how I could portray my male actor in my video, so I went for a mixture. Both personality-wise and appearance-wise, in this case. Personality-wise can be seen through my male's wardrobe and how it can be portrayed as different personas he uses to go by his day. Appearance wise can be slightly self explanatory based on said male's wardrobe."

"The video has a noticeably lighter tone compared to videos in the same subject. I wanted to take it in a different direction. This is reflected in her answer to the pressures of body image. I didn't put much thought into the shot types. I was simply restricted by the walls of the room and the second mirror reflecting the camera and my shadow."
